Kiwifruit

Kudos for Kiwi

Kiwifruit consistently rank at the top of fruit in nutrition density models which tell us exactly how nutritious food is. That means you get more vitamins and minerals per gram, and per calorie, of kiwifruit than most other fruit.

While oranges have a deserved reputation as valuable sources of vitamin C, kiwifruit can also lay claim to the vitamin C crown. In fact there is twice as much vitamin C in kiwifruit as there are in oranges. You only need one kiwifruit each day to get your recommended daily intake of vitamin C.

    1/2 ruby red grapefruit
    1 banana

Additional Information

Ingredients

4 kiwi fruit
1/2 ruby red grapefruit
1 banana

Directions
  1. Trim the ends of the kiwifruit, peel them, and cut the fruit into slices. Thick slices, more than a quarter inch thick.
  2. Cut the individual grapefruit slices into slices.
  3. Cut the banana into slices.
  4. Because kiwifruit can get beat and mushy rather easily, I suggest you lay the salad out more like a platter rather than tossing it. Just combine all ingredients, chill and serve.
